Country Cottage over looking country side and peacefull valley, short drive to historic town of Gresford and only 40 - 50 minutes drive to pokolbin and major wineries. Set on 10 acres with access to the Allyn river you can put your feet up and watch the world go by. 2 Double size bedrooms with wall to wall Built ins, Ceilings fans in all rooms and Air conditioning in Main Bedroom and Lounge. Combustion wood fire place in lounge and wood combustion heater/oven in kitchen/dining, as well as electric stove/oven and Microwave.
Main Bedroom consists of Queen size bed, Second room has Double bed as well as a single Trundle bed. Large front veranda and small back patio. Escape to the Beautiful Barrington Tops National Park, Visit " Ladies Wells" swimming hole in the Forest Park. The property allows for up to 2 small outside pets as the house area is fenced.

2 bedroom cottage for approx 4 adults + spare trundle bed for extra guest if requested. Great views of the quiet, scenic country side, 10 acres set on the Allyn river, only 8klm to town - supermarket and Historic Hotel. Only 5 min to local wineries and 40 - 50 min to Pokolbin and Major Wineries in the Hunter Valley. 2 Double size bedrooms with wall to wall Built ins, Ceilings fans in all rooms and Air conditioning in Main Bedroom and Lounge. Combustion wood fire place in lounge and wood combustion heater/oven in kitchen/dining as well as electric stove/oven and Microwave.
Main Bedrooms consist of Queen size bed, Second room has double bed and there is a single Trundle bed available as well. Historic Church and grounds nearby. Allynbrook is only 2 1/2 hours from Sydney yet you could be any were. You can also have minimum -2 small dogs as the property is fenced around the house.

"A relaxing time? Tremendous. You have such a wonderful place and we shall definitely return. The Salisbury-Dungog road was closed but it mattered little. It was so welcoming to arrive at the house to find fires lit and all in readiness for our stay".

Thank you we had a wonderful time. We even met the family of Echidna's that live in your front paddock.
The dogs and the cows reached an understanding and they all got over their curiosity and then just got on with their adventures. The river was lovely the dogs had a great swim. We had lunch at Patterson and the dogs had their own fan club. Well we will be in touch to book again and if it is ok put your details on our web

"We stayed at Cherry Grove for two nights and had a fantastic time.
The house is lovely and quite spacious. It is well appointed with tv, dvd, stereo, cooking facilities and a great looking wood fired stove and combustion heater (although we didn't use it because the weather was not cold enough). There are two huge bedrooms. The bathroom has a bath and shower big enough for two.
We sat around out on the back verandah one morning watching the birds in the trees and the cows in the back paddock. A wander down the paddock later in the day to the river was a delight. Although we didn't see the platypus (I think we were far too noisy) the water is very clear so the rocks and trees on the river bank were reflected perfectly on the water.
We took a drive into East Gresford for lunch at the Hotel Beatty which was alright. I hadn't been to the Natural Furniture Works of East Gresford for years so we dropped in and had a look in at the gallery there at the beautiful pieces of furniture.
Then we drove up into the state forest and stopped at Ladies Well, a swimming hole with rock slides and deep, deep rock pools. A great swimming hole for a hot day. We lay about on the rocks and took in the sound of the water and the trees against the blue sky.
We saw two echidnas, a goanna, a red belly black snake and a couple of wallabies on our travels.
Our host, Brad was very pleasant on the phone and in emails. He made sure we were all set to find everything we needed at the house and gave us very good directions for how to get there.
Overall the experience was really good and I'm sure we will be back."
"We had a wonderful relaxing break. The cottage is beautiful and well equiped. The property is well fenced and the dogs were happy and safe with the lovely river to paddle in.
